We will be...

We will be slowly passing away,
Leaving a white trail on the blue of heaven,
Waiting for signs of winter's last day,
Amidst the summer heat, longing for her return.

We will be smoking cheap cigarettes,
Speaking of a movie we just saw,
Of actors who take our dreams and regrets
And turn them into a show.

Unable to fit ourselves into words,
We will be hiding our tears,
Our grief, our love, our beliefs, and fears,
Replacing them with "yes" or "no."

We will be offering light to every stranger,
Sick of the fact that things never change,
Wondering if our lives, fine and out of danger,
Can somehow still be rearranged.
